Welcome to ARARA in ARARINHA’s JUNGLE HOTEL You will stay on the land of ARARA, in ARARINHA JUNGLE HOTEL, situated 100 km. south of Manaus and accessible by boat only. At the hotel, built on a hill, away from the course of large rivers, with fantastic views all around, you will imagine yourself in paradise. At ARARA, time has stopped and nature has run its own course. In past times the local population named it ARARA after the large number of Macaws living here. In this enormous (2000 ha.) undisturbed area our Hotel, ARARINHA JUNGLE HOTEL, is located. From here we invite you to have your (first) jungle experience, study your specific interest in flora and fauna and get acquainted with the way of life of the local population. There is no hunting, professional fishing and no tree is felled. That is why we can guarantee you a stay on a unique location in an unspoilt environment. Your eyes lose themselves in these magnificent surroundings, with water all around, jungle and panoramic views, in short: beauty in complete harmony. As we have a very dense forest it not easy to spot and come across with some animal species found in the Amazon region. As we are a serious company we will never promise that our guest are going to see many animals. Because the forest is so dense, it is very easy for the animals to flee from us. The animals exist there, but unfortunately, there is no way to promise you that you will see many of them. But off course you might get lucky! What we do garantee is that you are going to have a good and pleasant stay, as together with from Amazon Gero tours we are working for your leisure! Ararinha jungle hotel is also a social project, as we are helping the local people by providing them with jobs for a better future. Our Hotel, invisibly absorbed in the landscape, is equipped with every comfort and meets every demand of a modern, comfortable Jungle hotel. To reach Ararinha Jungle Hotel, you depart from harbour Ceasa (Rio Negro), by fast boat for a crossing to the fishing village of Careiro (Rio Solimões). During this crossing (25 minutes) you pass the point where these two rivers meet, forming the Amazon river (Meeting of the Waters). During a stop you can record this unique phenomenon on photo or film. In Careiro a minibus is waiting. Within 40 minutes it takes you to Araça along the Trans Amazonica. On the way we can admire the beautiful Vitória Regia which, when blooming, gives you an attractive illustration of the flora in this area. In Araça you board the fast boat which takes you to Ararinha Jungle Hotel in about 1½ hours.
